Vegetarian - all products without animal origin!

Vegetarians consume food of plant origin as well as the products which are derived from the living animal. According to the Allensbach Institute for Public Opinion Research, there are around 7.8 million vegetarians in Germany (stand: 2014). There are different reasons why people choose a vegetarian way of life: some become vegetarians because of their love of animals; others due to the environmental protection or just to improve their health. In comparison to “meat-eaters”, vegetarians seldom suffer from obesity - the facts confirmed by the studies in Germany, Great Britain and Belgium. In contrast to meat, vegetarian foods supply your body with fewer calories and fats. Instead, vegetables, fruits, cereal products and legumes contain plenty of vitamins and nutrients. To replace meat, vegetarians choose soya, wheat, sweet lupine or tofu (soya product).
